Cody Fisher is a 5th year Ph.D. Candidate in the Immunology Track at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Rochester, MN, USA. He is a trainee in Dr. Robin Patel’s Infectious Diseases Research Laboratory, where he investigates patient transcriptomic and proteomic alterations during bacterial biofilm-associated periprosthetic joint infection (PJI). ‘Omics-based differences found when comparing infected and non-infected patients may lead to discovery of novel biomarkers and further inform clinical diagnosis during arthroplasty failure.
