Biography

Christophe Rodriguez is professor in virology at University of Paris-Est-Creteil (France), works in the Department of microbiology, French national reference center for hepatitis B, C delta. He is head of NGS platform at the Henri Mondor Hospital, of the National Reference Center for Covid Sequencing, and of the Medical Reference Laboratory for metagenomics.

Specialized in viral adaptation he developed software to analyze NGS data for documentation of infection and prediction of outcome of patients (more than 10 patent). The NGS technology developed is currently used in diagnostic routine, accredited for bacterial, fungal, parasitic and viral pathogens according to the standard 15189 and used for more than 1000 diagnostic per year to explore complex infectious diseases. Its activity is now focused on the diagnostic of new pathogens, pathogens of unknown diseases or complex cases of resistance and use of transcriptomic data in complement to Shotgun Metagenomic. He is the author of more than 100 publications.
