Biography

Camille d’Humières is a pharmacist and medical biologist specialised in microbiology. She is currently working in the bacteriology laboratory of the Bichat Hospital (Paris, France) and in the IAME team (INSERM 1137) of Erick Demamur.

She did her PhD at the Institut Pasteur in Eduardo Rocha’s team on the impact of antibiotics on the intestinal phageome. This allowed her to acquire skills in metagenomics and bioinformatics. After her PhD she returned working at the hospital. Her two main interests are (i) clinical metagenomics in the context of patient diagnosis and (ii) the explanation of bacterial-phage interactions via bacterial defense systems.
